Imagine: Culture and the City

Imagine: Connecting Communities Through Research. This ESRC funded project has now entered its 4th year and will be hosting a public event on Tuesday 6 September at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield. This event will showcase the role of culture across the whole of the Imagine project.

We very much hope you will be able to join us for talks given by our guest speakers Kim Streets, Museums Sheffield and leading cultural thinker Francois Matarasso on Culture and the City, from 6-7pm. Our speakers and members of the Imagine project will be available for questions and answers after the talks so please do stay and join the conversation.

The event will be aimed at bringing together a number of key people in the City of Sheffield, plus communities across South Yorkshire, including from Rotherham, the Hepworth Wakefield and Museums Sheffield, to think about the cultural context of civic engagement and the role of the arts in community development.
